robilant geneaolgy (03/03/2010) Work has finally started on the drawing up, and painting of the artwork. I finally collected the rather large vellum, fours natural calf skins stretched over a board, with a heavy duty frame to stop any bowing behind. It took two people to lift the large vellum into my studio!.
I have completed the main arms, and am continuing to draw the work up, and will include images as I progress. I am now very excited about the work after 6 months of planning and creating the actual design. I hope to complete the painting this year.. keep looking!

Robilant Genealogy (24/09/2009) After about six months of designing, and drawing, I am pleased to say that I am nearing completion of the design stage of my artwork.
I have now almost completed all of the large Arms, which consist of Prussia, Russia, Austria, Spain, and Saxony on the top level, with Clary, Mocenigo, Heller, and Tuscany along the Bottom row, with of course Robilant being central.
I hope to include many medieval birds, and nature throughout the tree to enhance its form, just to give the tree some life....
The Drawing will be placed on Four skins of natural vellum, on board, with a wooden frame behind.. Its rather large!! I may be some time, but hope to add some colour images in due course.
A very relieved Neil |
